First half of the year (2016-01-01 - 2016-06-30)

  • §   Net sales amounted to KSEK 97,461 (69,934).
  • §   Operating profit before depreciation and amortization, EBITDA, amounted to KSEK 6,510 (4,789).
  • §   Profit after tax amounted to KSEK 3,473 (1,684).
  • §   Cash flow from operating activities amounted to KSEK 4,306 (450).
  • §   Earnings per share* amounted to SEK 1.18 (0.75).
  • §   The equity/assets ratio at 30 June 2016 was 49 (31) %.

Second quarter (2016-04-01 - 2016-06-30)

  • §   Net sales amounted to KSEK 57,368 (40,155).
  • §   Operating profit before depreciation and amortization, EBITDA amounted to KSEK 4,099(1,942).
  • §   Profit after tax amounted to KSEK 2,412 (410).
  • §   Cash flow from operating activities amounted to KSEK 4,021 (-207).
  • §   Earnings per share* amounted to SEK 0.82(0.18).

*Earnings per share: Profit for the period divided by 2,933,254 shares as of June 30, 2016.

**Equity/assets ratio: Equity share of the balance sheet total.

Significant events in the first half of 2016

  • §   The strong order book at the beginning of the year is maintained during the period.
  • §   Nilsson receives an award for three major procurements of ambulances in Sweden. The award decision from Norrbotten County Council's procurement relates to up to six ambulances during the current year with an option of six cars per year until 2019, which corresponds to an order value of up to SEK 10 million annually. Nilsson also wins the tenders to Dalarna and Västernorrland corresponding to an overall order value of up to SEK 11 million over two years. In addition, the Company receives allotment of medical cars to the Västra Götaland region, corresponding to an order value of up to SEK 4 million.
  • §   Orders for ambulances to Norway are increasing significantly, corresponding to a doubling of volumes from the previous year. Total order value up to SEK 23 million.
  • §   In order to meet the increased demand for ambulances and other emergency vehicles, production capacity will be expanded during the first quarter. At the same time, structural improvement work continues with optimisation of both efficiency and flexibility.
  • §   The new project organisation is launched to ensure the development of the new ambulance built on the Volvo XC90 chassis, which is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2016.
  • §   At the end of April, the Annual General Meeting of Nilsson Special Vehicles AB will be heldwww.nilsson.se.

Significant events after the end of the period

  • §   The company receives allocation decisions for ambulances to Region Jönköping County regarding five cars in the coming years with an option thereafter for 3-5 cars annually for a total of four years. Estimated order value up to SEK 40 million.
  • §  Nilsson startar ett eget försäljningsbolag i Norge för att möta den växande efterfrågan på 4-hjulsdrivna ambulansfordon < 3,5 ton. Två anställda ansvarar för att bygga upp nära och långvariga kundrelationer på såväl sälj- som servicesidan.
  • §   The production rate is increasing due to the increasing demand for ambulances in Sweden and Norway.
